The Covid 19 Vaccine....

Ok so here it goes, this may be a bit of a controversial topic right now but I thought Id give my thoughts on the vaccine. So I have already been vaccinated and this post may be a bit overdo or late even but I feel like since they have opened the age group to 18 and older here in Florida I thought Id offer up my experience. Let me start off with this, I work in healthcare and I was not given a choice on whether or not I wanted the vaccine, it was mandated. I would be a liar if I said I was ok with that but it is what it is right?! I was scared and I did not want to feel like crap as some of the side effects are real nasty. But again I had to or I couldnt work and lets face it I need to work sooo thats that.

On December 29th 2020 around 5:30 pm I went for my first vaccine, we were some of the few that were able to get them so early in. I was given the moderna vaccine at this time there wasnt a choice, you got what you got. So probably within a hour or so my arm hurt terribly and by the time I went to bed it was almost unbearable. Now Im not a cry baby by any means, this shot HURT! I would say almost at the 24 hr mark thats when it hit me, extreme fatigue, body aches and a headache. I went to be around 7:30 pm I felt terrible, woke up the next morning and felt almost 100% better. That was that, first shot over and now I waited for the next. To say I was worried is probably a understatement. I had heard the second round was worse than the first so that scared me considering how the first round went.

On January 28th 2021 around the same time I went for my second shot. I was even more scared for this round because I had such a reaction with the first one. So anyway went and got my shot and this time by the time I got to my truck and home I already started feeling crappy, my arm ached terribly and I felt really tired. Got home, took some Tylenol and went to bed. I slept terrible because my arm ached and I had full body aches. Went to work that morning even though I felt terrible thanking god we only work half days on Fridays because I defiantly wouldn't had made it a full day. I had serious fatigue, body aches, headache and a fever. I was shaking, I was so cold. I left right around 12pm and put my heat on 90 and my seat warmers I was so cold and ache. I went straight home and went to bed, only to get up for medication and water. When I woke up the next day I felt much better, still a bit tired and had a headache but better. I ended up having a headache for about a week and a little bit of a rash by the injection sight, both very common and mild side effects.
So overall it was terrible at the time & I have said a few times I basically had the covid shot flu. I havent felt that sick in years, but to be honest Id rather be sick a day or two than for weeks and even hospitalized. So even though it wasnt my choice to get the vaccine Im not sorry I did. So that was my experience with the moderna and please keep in mind that not everyone has the same reactions. Here are my thoughts on getting it, basically its your body, so its your choice, you do what is best for you. Please dont try to get others to make that same choice. Just because you do or dont want the vaccine, you should never try to make someone feel like their choice is wrong. Do your research, actual research, not what so n so said. Make an actual educated decision based off that. We are in this together no matter your choice, I respect whatever you decide and Ill ask you do the same for me. One day at a time, one vaccine at a time this will all soon end.
Always Thanks For Reading
