31 Spooky Days Of October

Hello friends, so when I first sat down last September (2022) to prepare my list of things to do for the month of October with Moses, I had no idea how crazy this month was actually about to be. The week before October 1st my dad was hurt while outside working. He basically broke his neck and was rushed to the er and from there had major surgery. By the grace of God he is ok and with time he will be better. But because of this a few of the days I had plans for we ended up going and helping at their farm. Half way through the month Moses ended up getting sick and work decided to change my schedule. We also had a hurricane (thanks, Ian) So there's that... It defiantly put a weird spin on my holiday plans, I still did a bunch of things but it wasnt daily and It wasnt 31 ideas either. We didnt do half of the fun ideas I had planned but thats ok, we still had a good time throughout the month. So here is a list of the things we did do! I am hoping this year will be much better!!

1. bought a countdown calendar and a box of treats, 1 per day

2. made pumpkin volcanoes

3. Halloween jamies and movie night

4. read all the Halloween books we have

5. made sand potion

6. picked out our costumes

7. picked out our pumpkins

8. made ghost out of glue (this was a fun & easy project)

9. went to David Busters (tried to go to Sea World and do treating there but the line to get in was over a hour)

10. baked spooky cookies

11. painted spider webs on paper plates

12. decorated for Halloween

13. pained a ghost

14. went to a trunk or treat

15. tried 2 different bubbling spider crafts we saw on IG (neither were that impressive)

16. built a haunted house craft

17. went and got spooky cupcakes

18. made treat bags for Moses class

19. carved pumpkins and made pumpkin seeds

20. last but not least, Went Trick or Treating and had pizza!!

So even though the month didnt go as planned we still did a lot of fun things. Sometimes the best memories are the ones unexpected. But I hope this gives you some ideas for your October Fall fun and follow along on IG for this years adventures.
