So its been almost 2 months since my initial post so I thought Id do a little update. So back at the end of January I started my garden and I must say over all it has been a success. I planted from seeds, 2 different beans, watermelon, pumpkin, cucamelon, brussels sprouts & corn. I planted starter plants 2 different tomatoes, 2 different pepper plants and a jalapeno plant. I have consistently watered them almost twice a day unless it rains and have given them plant food every couple of weeks, I spray them weekly with a all natural organic spray and this all seems to be working wonderfully.

Now the bean plant is growing and growing, producing lots of beans. Unfortunately not enough to make a meal but my son has been enjoying them. I had read that sometimes they only have one big bloom and then you have to cut them back, but so far ours is still going strong.

The two pepper plants are growing so tall and have just started making peppers, it has been a real treat to watch them grow. The jalapeno plant has already produced 2 peppers and has 2 more growing. For such a small plant it is giving so many peppers.

The 2 tomato plants are really doing well, one we bought already in full bloom and the other was just a starter plant. The one in bloom has been nonstop with cherry tomatoes and the other has a bunch of green ones getting ready to eat. This may be one of the most exciting plants of all, I tried so hard last year to grow tomatoes and just failed terribly. So to have such growth makes me so happy.

Now as we expected the cucamelons just didnt do well, we have one surviving plant and it just isnt growing no matter what Ive tried.

Next are the pumpkins, this is also another fail from last year that is doing so good, we even have flowers starting so it wont be long until little pumpkins sprout!!
So I kinda saved the worst for last, the watermelons, corn and brussels sprouts were all doing amazing until something came and ate them, there was only one survivor and its a watermelon. So I have been back n forth about starting them over, there is time but Im not sure I want the hassle of worrying about them. If I do decide to replant them it would probably this weekend coming.
So this is the update, I really dont think I could be doing anything more to help them along, with the exception of the ones that got eaten by critters. I have however thought maybe next year doing strictly ground boxes. there is more room to plant and they just look so nice all full of veggies. Thankfully I have time to decide that. Well thats it for now, Ill update again in a few months.
