Hello Friends!! So this is a recipe I found like 4 years ago and have tweaked it to make it mine. This recipe takes about 3 hours, so its defiantly a labor of love but totally worth it. So Im not one for talking on my recipe post, so lets get to it.

Ingredients For The Dough:
1/4-ounce package yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup scalded milk (I just put it in microwave for like a minute)
1/3 cup butter
1 tsp salt
1 egg
3 1/2 to 4 cups of all-purpose flour
Ingredients For The Filling:
1/2 soften butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1//2 cup white sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
you can add walnuts, raisons ect. totally up to your preference, (I dont do any) You will also need additional butter and sugar for pan
Ingredients For The Glaze:
4 tbsp butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 6 tablespoons hot water
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
In small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside. In a large bowl mix milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and egg. Add 2 cups of flour and mix until smooth. Add yeast mixture, then add remaining flour. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 to 10 minutes. Place in well greased bowl, cover and let rise until its doubled in size, usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
When doubled in size, punch down dough. Roll out on a floured surface into a rectangle. Now here is where you spread melted butter, TIP: I found that just spreading room temp butter works best and is not nearly as messy, But you do what works.. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered dough. At this point add any extra ingredients you want. Beginning at the long side start rolling dough, pinch together to make a seal and then cut into 12-15 slices.
Coat the bottom of the baking pan with butter and sugar, place cinnamon rolls in pan and let rise until doubled, around 45 minutes. Bake for about 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
Meanwhile, mix butter, powder sugar and vanilla. Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches desired consistency. Spread over slightly cooled rolls.
Eat while still warm :)
As always thanks for reading!!
XOXO
