ICE! Featuring The Grinch!! 2022 At Gaylord Palms Florida

Hello Friends!!! So we went to Ice last night at Gaylord Palms and it did not disappoint! We have gone to this several times over the years, each time it is a different theme. This year it was The Grinch stole Christmas. Bringing Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! to life is a meticulous process and a labor of love. It's the work of master artisans from 7,000 miles away in Harbin, China, who chip away at two million pounds of ice over the course of several weeks to create the scenes. Honestly it was so good, the people that make these sculptures are so creative and talented. Every little detail was thought out.

This event is for all ages (children under 3 are free), just dress for the occasion, they give you parkas but its only 9 degrees Fahrenheit inside, so I recommend, pants, sweaters, jacket or coat and gloves and a hat. (I promise its not to much) There is no time limit but on average people spend 20-40 minutes inside. The warmer dressed you are, the more cold you can tolerate.

Once inside there are plenty of photo opt places and a ice slide for anyone who doesn't mind a cold bum. You can walk around as long as you want and take as many photos as you want. There is also someone carving ice in one section, showing how its done. At the very end and this is every year, there is a beautiful ice nativity set.

Even though, Ice is the main attraction, there are other things to do, depending on when you go. They have packages you can buy if you plan on doing more than one event. When you come out of ICE you can warm up with hot chocolate and cinnabuns while walking around the gift shop. This can be a little pricy but we went during the week on the cheaper days and used discount code BONVOY (I dont know how long its good for, but worth a try). Over all it was a fun, family night out.

As always thanks for reading

XoXo Nikki
