31 Days Of Halloween

So because we work over the summer and we live in Florida (its just to hot to be out) our kids summer break is less than desired. So to make up for that the last three months of the year, I try to make really special and do a bunch of fun things as the weather starts to cool. Last year for the month of October I tried to do 31 Days of Halloween and my plan was to do something everyday even if it was something small like watch a Halloween movie. Unfortunately my son broke his arm like a week into October and somethings were put off but I managed todo things. So I thought I would share what we did last year and then I will post this years ideas next month.

Now some of these ideas will not work if you dont live in Florida but you can definitely find similar things todo. If anything has a recipe Ill make a post for each one. So you should be able to find everything here. So here was my 2021 list

  1. Go to Build a Bear & make a spooky friend, we made a pumpkin bear & his head lights up

  2. We made spooky rocks & tried pop rocks for the first time

  3. We went on a Spooky Scavenger hunt, I created this myself just going off the neighbors houses that were decorated

  4. A few different nights we watched Halloween Movies, Hocus Pocus, The Night Before Christmas and of course Charlie Browns Halloween

  5. I got a few Halloween books and we read those one or two nights

  6. We did spooky donuts twice, once from Dunkin and once from Crispy Creams

  7. We made pumpkin spice playdough (I will post the recipe)

  8. Painted ceramic pumpkins and made pumpkin cookies (the Pillsbury premade ones)

  9. Went to a pumpkin patch, actually two.. one was free at the school and the other we paid to go too

  10. Went to a corn maze

  11. We made pumpkin spice slime (this was a favorite)

  12. Went to Sea World for Spooktacular to trick or treat

  13. Played pumpkin bowling, we set up some cups and used the cheep pumpkins from the dollar tree

  14. Tried different caramel and candy apples

  15. Decorated for Halloween and picked out costumes

  16. Went to Truck or Treat at the School

  17. Made gingerbread haunted houses

  18. Made our own cookies and decorated them

  19. We made a light up ghost

  20. We dont really go trick or treating and were we live we dont get treaters so we had a Halloween BBQ with family on the 31st

So this is the list I did last year and I was able to do something fun and Halloween related everyday of the month, my son is so excited for this year. For the two crafts I will post the recipes at a later date.

As always thanks for reading

Nikki
